Roget pulled a copy of the PP's manifesto and read from page 50 which stated: "Labour within T&T would be organised as a positive force for economic development." He added it was the "repressed and suppressed" working people who "gave you the support to be in power." Roget said if the PP was to fail, Dookeran would be the cause because of his attack on public servants. He said when trade unions launched their attack on Patrick Manning and his administration, the PP was enjoying the benefits of their (unions) struggle. He added: "When we were against Patrick Manning and we were right to do that, at that time they were enjoying the fruits of our struggle. "Nobody said anything about it is against the law." Roget warned the PP to recall its campaign promises since the labour movement had "a long, long, long memory." Meanwhile, Duke warned Dookeran"the war has just begun." He said the PSA was not prepared "to wait and see" anymore.
