Min­is­ter of State in the Min­istry of Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty Sub­has Pan­day has been ap­point­ed to act as Min­is­ter of Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty dur­ing the ab­sence from Trinidad and To­ba­go of Brigadier John Sandy. The ap­point­ment, which takes ef­fect from to­day, was made by Pres­i­dent George Maxwell Richards af­ter con­sul­ta­tion with Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar.
