A 39-year-old Princes Town resident is expected to be charged today with the murder of Nigel Braithwaite, who was stabbed to death while liming at Lucky Jordan Restaurant and Bar. Homicide detectives are expected to consult with Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Roger Gaspard today on the matter.
The unemployed suspect was detained by police shortly after Braithwaite, 35, of Moonan Avenue, Malgretoute Road, Princes Town, was killed last Tuesday. Braithwaite was the bar on Hope Road, Princes Town, when a woman came up and began talking with him.The suspect became enraged when he saw Braithwaite speaking with the woman and walked up to Braithwaite. He began slapping Braithwaite on the face. The attacker then whipped out a knife and plunged it three times into the left side of Braithwaite's chest.
