Up to late yesterday, officers were appealing for help in identifying the corpse, described as being of African descent, about five feet, eight inches tall, low haircut, slim built and possibly in his early 30s. Police said the body was clad in a black three-quarter pants, with a bandanna around the neck, and a red jersey.
Officers, led by Acting ASP Ashton Williams, and including Sgt Persad and PC Bachan, of the Homicide Division, visited the scene and the body was removed to the San Fernando mortuary. Once the body is properly identified an autopsy will be done. Anyone with information can contact Gasparillo Police Station at 650-0200, or 652-0495.
