Gov­ern­ment is seek­ing con­sen­sus with the Op­po­si­tion to ap­prove the Con­sti­tu­tion (Amend­ment) (Cap­i­tal Of­fences) Bill, 2011. The leg­is­la­tion, which was tabled in Par­lia­ment last week Fri­day by At­tor­ney Gen­er­al Anand Ram­lo­gan, seeks to plug ex­ist­ing loop­holes in the law.
