Murdered "PH" driver Nigel Huggins was stabbed 18 times, according to an autopsy performed yesterday at the Forensic Science Centre, Port-of -Spain. Huggins, 29, of Cumuto Road, Barrackpore, was hijacked by three passengers while plying his car for hire on Saturday. Police believe he put up a struggle and was stabbed repeatedly. He subsequently crashed his Almera car along Brothers Road, Tabaquite.
He stumbled out and managed to run a short distance away before he fell into a drain and died. Residents stumbled upon his body sometime later. Police up to late yesterday questioned three suspects who were held shortly after the body was found. The suspects, of Realise Road, Princes Town, Indian Walk and Marabella are between the ages of 30 and 40 years old. Insps Ramdan and George, of the Rio Claro Police Station, are investigating.
