Two in court accused of PH driver’s murder
Nine days after a “PH” driver was stabbed to death by “passengers”, two men appeared yesterday in the Rio Claro Magistrates’ Court charged with his murder. The accused, Keamo Dasrath, 20, of Loney Road, Indian Walk, Princes Town and Barry Butcher, 32, of Dolly Road, Marabella, appeared before Senior Magistrate Maria Busby Earle-Caddle.
They are charged with the murder of 29-year-old Nigel Huggins of Cumuto Road, Barrackpore. Huggins was hijacked and stabbed repeatedly while plying his car for hire on January 22. The matter was adjourned to February 10.
