Consultations on constitutional reform have commenced with the legal fraternity. Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister Collin Partap met with Chief Justice Ivor Archie last Monday to begin discussions.
A press release from the Office of the Prime Minister said discussions would be ongoing and would involve other sections of the legal community. Business, labour, religious bodies, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and other stakeholders also will be consulted. The release said these consultations would ensure a consensus on the way forward for constitutional reform.
