Arima PNM group elects officers

The PNM’s Pennelope Beckles-Robinson and Laurel Lezama-Lee Sing have been elected into key positions in the 2011-2012 constituency elections. The elections, held on January 24, were billed “Arima Is PNM Country,” a release said yesterday. The constituency election was hosted by Eric Taylor (Pink Panther).

In attendance were PNM stalwart Ferdie Ferreira, area co-ordinator Senator Dr Lester Henry and chairman of the Toco/Sangre Grande Constituency Cuthbert Pierre. The annual PNM constituency conference will be held on  Sunday at the Arima Town Hall. The feature speaker will be the party’s political leader Dr Keith Rowley.

Members of the new party executive are:  
Stephen Rawan — chairman
John Joseph — vice chairman
Senator Pennelope Beckles-Robinson — lady vice chairman
Barbara Ryan — secretary,
Laurel Lezama-Lee Sing — assistant secretary
Cagney Casimire — treasurer
Dr Hillary Bernard — PRO
Bobby Charles — elections officer
Laurie Murray — field officer
Dr Paula Mark — education officer
Hyacinth Johnson — welfare officer
Dexter Williams — youth officer (female)
Sharifa Walker — Youth League chairman
Committee members — Ricardo Bagoo, Timothy Ramadhar, Marilyn Chambers, Lionel Beckles, Lennox Jordan, Beverly Augustus, Juddson Reid, Terrance Isaacs, Kevin Nelson and Colin Bartholomew.
