"Why you calling my name in your stupidness?!"That was the annoyed query from Opposition Leader Keith Rowley to Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Colin Partap yesterday, as Partap piloted a bill. Partap was speaking about the Data Protection Bill in the Lower House, when he mentioned Rowley's full name in connection with the past PNM administration handling of certain issues.
Rowley also received some "bad news" from Community Development Minister Nizam Baksh who confirmed that a Bagatelle Community Centre project in Rowley's constituency couldn't be built until 2013 due to lack of funds.Earlier, PP MP Roodal Moonilal speaking on a recent judgment by Justice Carol Gobin cited Rowley as being the PNM Minister who had piloted orders for the Land Settlement Agency on squatters. He said the past Cabinet had mandated the LSA to break the law regarding squatters' premises.
