UWI hosts workshop on social, emotional learning
The University of the West Indies Open Campus in St Augustine will host a workshop series on Social and Emotional Learning—The Missing Link, with Dr Marilyn Robb. The first session will be held on February 19 from 9 am to 3 pm, inclusive of a lunch. Registration on that day starts at 8.30 am. A follow up session for parents will be held on April 5 from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm, inclusive of a snack. Both workshops cost $150.
The Alpha East and Alpha West Early Childhood Centres are initiating this programme to:
• Attend to the emotional development of the students in school and at home.
• Create an emotionally safe environment for children.
• Develop the emotional intelligence of the parents and children.
Venue: UWI Open Campus Early Childhood and Learning Resource Centre, Austin Street, St Augustine.
