Princes Town officers are seeking the public's assistance to identify skeletal remains found inside an abandoned gas station last week. An autopsy conducted on the remains by Dr Mc Donald Borris at the Forensic Science Centre, St James, last Friday was inconclusive. Investigators said the remains were of a middle-aged man of East Indian descent. The teeth in the upper and lower jaws are missing and there is an indentation on the lower left back of the skull.
Police believe the man may have suffered from epilepsy seizures or could have undergone brain surgery at some point in his life. They do not believe the indentation was the cause of death as the wound appeared to have healed well before the victim's demise. Officers said anyone with a missing friend or relative who fits the description can contact the Princes Town CID at 655-7330. The bones were discovered on February 6 by iguana hunter Lennox Charles who was chasing lizards close to the dilapidated structure.
