Rented car impounded
A rented silver Nissan Almera, believed to have been used in the abduction of eight-year-old Daniel Guerra, has been impounded by the police. And last night homicide detectives were still searching for the owner of the vehicle as well as the man who had rented the car. A senior police source said several relatives, among them a policeman and friends, had been providing information regarding Daniel's whereabouts.
Although the officer was not viewed as a suspect, investigators said the information he provided may be crucial to solving the case. Senior police said they were working on several possible motives but none of these can be confirmed until an autopsy was done to confirm the cause of death.
