A suspect wanted for the November 2010 murder of Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) employee Kenny Goddard has been arrested. The 29-year-old man, of Waterhole, Cocorite, was arrested by police officers who used the Carnival season to look for wanted suspects. Police also held three other suspects wanted in connection with three separate murders. A senior police source involved in the exercise told the Guardian that it was a joint exercise involving officers from the Port-of-Spain and Western Divisions.
The source said the search was timely as police waited for the suspects, who were hiding for most of the time, to come out to "fete." Goddard, 38, of Goya Street, El Dorado, was shot and killed by a gunman while working close to Peake's Gas Station on November 21, 2010. The exercises started Carnival Monday and continued into yesterday. They netted a total of 150 suspects for offences including murder, illegal firearm and ammunition possession, drug possession and robbery. The suspect in Goddard's killing was expected to be placed on an identification parade late yesterday.
