Opposition MPs treated badly says McDonald

PNM chief whip Marlene McDonald has taken issue with accommodation for PNM MPs at the Queen’s Park Savannah. “Our MPs were given tickets for open boxes in front of the Grand Stand, but Independent senators were given a box inside and eats and drinks,” she said.

“Ours weren’t treated properly—not even given water to drink. “When the PNM was in power, we didn’t do that...I invited that same (Culture Minister Winston) Peters to my box when we were in office. “I recall former Couva South MP Kelvin Ramnath even asking me for extra tickets for one Carnival and they got them.” (GA)
