Kit Promotions 2011 takes Tobago Band of the Year title

Son of veteran Tobago mas designer Annette Alfred has captured the Tobago Band of the year title. Kareem Alfred’s Kit Promotions 2011 presentation Greece In Its Glory amassed 1302 points to take the senior large band category. Gloria Stoute and Associates followed in second place with Against All Odds with 1274; Lue–Ann Melville and Associates placed third with their portrayal of I Am Legend scoring 1251 points.
In the medium band category Frolic Central’s Unspoken Gems placed first with 1194 points; Marceline Nedd and Associates’ A Chinese Legacy scored 971 points while the band Old Time Revelers Roachie Coming Again placed third with 881 points. In the senior small band category Minstrels of Tobago took the top spot with 1196 points; second went to the Tobago Drama Guild Homage To Our Native People which earned them 1124 points and third went to JD Fantasy’s Carnival the Celebration with 1,048 points.
