Karene Asche says the terrific trio who contributed to her immense C2k11 success will be taken care of financially. Among them are songwriters Errol Skeete-who penned Be Careful What You Wish For-and Christophe Grant, who penned Uncle Jack. She paid kudos to Mt Lambert-based arranger Leston Paul who supported her bid.She also thanked songwriter Larry Harewood who had worked with her throughout the years.
Leston Paul:
"She has a good start in life with $2 million. She is supposed to get some of the money. She would invest her money wisely. She won other competitions, too. She is very passionate about singing calypso. She had a lot of confidence in herself this year. She opened up the doors to other young aspiring calypsonians which is good for the industry. I wish her all the best in the future."
Christophe Grant:
"I have little to say. I just try to showcase the work. I leave it up to their natural talent." (ML)
