TDC hosts CNN for Carnival celebrations

As a guest of the Tourism Development Company (TDC), CNN Airport Network, a satellite television network featured in airports across North America, was in Trinidad last week during the annual Carnival celebrations. CNN, shown nationally across the US and in many other parts of the world, captured the splendour of the destination’s largest festival as well as the beauty of the island and its people for a travel segment to be broadcast in the United States later this year.
CNN producer Natasha Haynes-Smith and local production company JCD and Associates Ltd filmed interviews with former Miss Universe Wendy Fitzwilliam and legendary designer extraordinaire, Peter Minshall at the Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre on Carnival Sunday. As the public relations firm for T&T in the United States, Cheryl Andrews marketing communications initiated and coordinated Haynes-Smith’s visit to the island for the story. CAMC’s president Cheryl Andrews and account executive Jennifer Johnson were on hand to represent the tourism board during the film shoot.
