TCL leads trading
Overall market activity resulted from trading in ten securities of which one advanced, one declined and eight traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 178,473 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $1,503,145.26. Capital and Credit Financial Group contributed 24,000 shares with a value of $4,080, while Angostura Holdings Ltd added 20,000 shares valued at $99,988.
Trinidad Cement Ltd was the volume leader with 74,320 shares changing hands for a value of $194,718.40, followed by Sagicor Financial Corporation with a volume of 40,000 shares being traded for $340,000. The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd enjoyed the day’s sole price increase, climbing $0.02 to end the day at $50.28. Conversely, Republic Bank Ltd suffered the day’s sole decline, falling $0.05 to end the day at $81.47. The mutual fund and second tier markets did not record any activity.
