Homicide detectives have reached a stumbling block in the murder of former Flying Squad member Cecil Carrington as they say leads have grown cold.Carrington, a member of the infamous unit, was shot dead at his Manzanilla establishment, Carrie's On The Bay, on January 28, this year.Police said yesterday although they were provided with "some details" of two male suspects who were spotted fleeing the scene they were yet to make arrests.
Even information that the perpetrators escaped in a heavily-tinted SUV have not resulted in a breakthrough of the case, police added. When contacted, Deputy Police Commissioner in charge of Operations Jack Ewatski assured, however, that investigations were continuing.Carrington also headed the Anti-Kidnapping Squad, the North Eastern Division and the Criminal Intelligence Division. One of his high profile cases involved the killing of state witness Clint Huggins in the famous Dole Chadee murder case.
