Homi­cide de­tec­tives have reached a stum­bling block in the mur­der of for­mer Fly­ing Squad mem­ber Ce­cil Car­ring­ton as they say leads have grown cold.Car­ring­ton, a mem­ber of the in­fa­mous unit, was shot dead at his Man­zanil­la es­tab­lish­ment, Car­rie's On The Bay, on Jan­u­ary 28, this year.Po­lice said yes­ter­day al­though they were pro­vid­ed with "some de­tails" of two male sus­pects who were spot­ted flee­ing the scene they were yet to make ar­rests.

Even in­for­ma­tion that the per­pe­tra­tors es­caped in a heav­i­ly-tint­ed SUV have not re­sult­ed in a break­through of the case, po­lice added.When con­tact­ed, Deputy Po­lice Com­mis­sion­er in charge of Op­er­a­tions Jack Ewats­ki as­sured, how­ev­er, that in­ves­ti­ga­tions were con­tin­u­ing.Car­ring­ton al­so head­ed the An­ti-Kid­nap­ping Squad, the North East­ern Di­vi­sion and the Crim­i­nal In­tel­li­gence Di­vi­sion. One of his high pro­file cas­es in­volved the killing of state wit­ness Clint Hug­gins in the fa­mous Dole Chadee mur­der case.
