She said under the Constitution that was a matter for the President. Asked if she recommended Mohammed's removal, the PM said while she was not at liberty to answer that question, President Richards would be guided by the law that provided for the removal of a member of a Service Commission. She said Mohammed was reckless when he went further than just presenting statistics on the alleged ethnic imbalance in the Police Service. "That is where the statement was reckless," she added. The PM said the Government did not share Local Government Minister Chandresh Sharma's view that the many public calls for Mohammed's removal were premature.
