Two suspects, who police said were being sought in connection with outstanding crimes, were held on Tuesday night during the Movado Concert at the Centre of Excellence, Macoya. One was being sought in connection with a shooting incident in Tunapuna last month while the other had been wanted on an outstanding warrant for larceny in Arima. Both were held by police officers deployed at the concert.
After the concert, police conducted road block exercises on parts of the Priority Bus Route, Churchill-Roosevelt Highway and Pasea Road, Tunapuna and ticketed 125 motorists for varying traffic offences.
They also held five men in a car which had false number plates. Police, during the road block, also arrested a driver with a shotgun in his possession. Those arrested were being questioned up to late yesterday.
