The man­hunt con­tin­ues for two more sus­pects want­ed in con­nec­tion with the kid­nap­ping of Par­vatie "Peg­gy" Ma­haraj. Ma­haraj, 17, of Cu­mu­to, was tak­en from her home at St Marie Em­manuel Road, Cu­mu­to, last week Wednes­day. She was found last Fri­day at Blan­chisseuse Road, Ari­ma.

Two men, Cal­lis­tas Jo­bity, 20, of Subero Street, Ari­ma, and his cousin Deuteron­o­my Jo­bity, 21, of Caratal Vil­lage, Cu­mu­to, ap­peared be­fore a Port-of-Spain mag­is­trate on Tues­day to an­swer 14 charges stem­ming from the in­ci­dent. Ma­haraj was res­cued by a mo­torist on Blan­chisseuse Road. The fam­i­ly was beat­en and robbed of food, ap­pli­ances, cloth­ing and a car. A $50,000 ran­som had been de­mand­ed for the re­lease of Ma­haraj, an Up­per Six Form stu­dent of North East­ern Col­lege, San­gre Grande.
