Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar left T&T yesterday to attend the OAS Hemispheric Summit in Washington, DC.Before her departure, the PM officially handed over duties to Works and Transport Minister Jack Warner, who will act as Prime Minister in her absence until she returns on April 7.Several Government Ministers were on hand at the VIP lounge of the Piarco International Airport terminal for the official send-off.
Warner, who is acting as the PM for the third time since the PP Government took power, said the days ahead would be business as usual.Tomorrow Warner meets with a delegation from Hungary, on Tuesday he attends a church service in Diego Martin and on Wednesday he is back in Chaguanas where he plans to visit his old school, Presentation College in Chaguanas and will open several infrastructural projects in the Central borough.
