Two Blue Waters employees accused of embezzling $10,000 from the company then falsely reporting that they had been robbed were denied bail yesterday.Dindial Jawahir, 25, a driver, of Tacarigua, and Jamal Tudor, 27, a loader, of Arouca, appeared before Magistrate Alicia Chankar in the San Fernando Court.They initially pleaded guilty to both charges and the matter was stood down for facts and sentencing.
However, when the matter was recalled, after the facts were read, they changed their pleas to not guilty. The men were charged by PC Kestor Dublin for offences allegedly committed on April 5 and 6.It is alleged that they embezzled the money then made a false report to Dublin at the Mon Repos Police Station that they were robbed by two men at Jones Street, Mon Repos.Both were remanded to reappear in court on Tuesday.
