The Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex will have no pipe-borne water supply for 23 hours beginning at midnight tonight. A statement from the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has advised from midnight tonight until 11 pm tomorrow there will a disruption in the supply of water to customers living in north Trinidad who are served by the Valsayn Water Treatment Plant.
WASA said the disruption was necessary in order to install a standby generator, interconnection of a 24-inch water line at the plant and the replacement of defective discharge valves at the Valsayn Highlift. Areas to be affected include the Eastern Main from Petit Bourg to El Dorado, Mt Hope, Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Lambert, Champs Fleurs, St Joseph, Curepe, St Augustine, Tunapuna, San Juan, Saddle Road, Laventille Road, Santa Cruz, and the Southern Main Road from Curepe to the Churchill Roosevelt Highway (western side).
WASA said customers requiring a truck-borne water supply could contact 800-4420/4426.
