Po­lice have de­tained sev­en sus­pects who they be­lieve are linked to a car-theft ring. The sus­pects were held be­tween Tues­day and yes­ter­day at a house in Mor­vant in con­nec­tion with re­cent thefts of ve­hi­cles in St James. Po­lice said a 9mm pis­tol was al­so found in the house which they raid­ed. Law­men said the sus­pects would be placed on iden­ti­fi­ca­tion pa­rades. Sgt Roger Alexan­der, PCs An­toine, Mar­tin, Sandy and Dar­ryl La Pierre, of the North East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force, took part in the ex­er­cise.
