Pan Trinbago has paid tribute to late broadcaster Allyson Hennessy, describing her as a "true friend" of the steelband body. Pan Trinbago president Keith Diaz, in paying tribute to the popular television personality who passed away at the St Clair Medical Centre on Saturday night, said the steelpan fraternity received the news of her death "with a great degree of sadness." He also recalled that Hennessy had been a die-hard supporter of the Desperadoes Steel Orchestra.
Diaz said: "The association valued the relationship which we shared with Allyson Hennessy... We take this opportunity to commiserate with the family of this great patriot, who prided herself on being part of the cultural landscape. "Pan Trinbago salutes her contributions and recognises her sincerity." Hennessy will be buried on Friday following a funeral service at 10.30 am at St Finbar's RC Church, Morne Coco Road, Diego Martin.
