Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar did the right thing in re­mov­ing for­mer Min­is­ter Mary King though the ju­ry is still out on some as­pects, ac­cord­ing to for­mer UNC leader Bas­deo Pan­day. He added: "If Mrs King knew her firm was ap­ply­ing to her own min­istry for a con­tract, I think she ought to have de­clared her in­ter­est and not in­flu­enced it. "But the prob­lem isn't over. She said the Prime Min­is­ter knew about it and though the PM de­nied it, it raised the ques­tion of whether Mrs King could be a bold­faced stranger to the truth. So to my mind, the ju­ry is still out." (GA)
