Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar "seems in­ca­pable" of main­tain­ing or­der with­in the Peo­ple's Part­ner­ship and may cause the gov­ern­ment to stum­ble and fall.This is the view of for­mer prime min­is­ter and leader of the Unit­ed Na­tion­al Con­gress (UNC) Bas­deo Pan­day.He told the T&T Guardian: "The prime min­is­ter (Per­sad-Bisses­sar) seems in­ca­pable of in­still­ing dis­ci­pline in her Cab­i­net and they don't seem to have a co­her­ent pol­i­cy on any­thing...That is why they keep stum­bling over one an­oth­er."

The state­ments come on the heels of Per­sad-Bisses­sar be­ing her­ald­ed as T&T's prime min­is­ter of choice in a Sun­day Guardian sur­vey con­duct­ed by the ANSA McAL Psy­cho­log­i­cal Re­search Cen­tre.Pan­day warned that if the PM did not ad­dress is­sues quick­ly, her Gov­ern­ment could come to a pre­ma­ture end since it is no longer pop­u­lar for a dis­con­tent­ed pop­u­lace to "wait for their lead­ers" term of of­fice to nat­u­ral­ly ex­pire."
