Senior Supt Robert Cummings, of the Central Division, has advised that persons in the division who are aware of warrants being issued for their arrest turn themselves into the Chaguanas Police Station to avoid the embarrassment of being arrested and escorted into the station.
In an early morning exercise in Chaguanas yesterday 25 suspects were arrested for outstanding warrants in connection with robbery, larceny, drug offenses and failure to pay maintenance and fixed penalty tickets. The four-hour exercise began at 2 am and was spearheaded by Cummins and assisted by Cpl Salindra Singh, PCs Clive Kalloo and Ricky Dass and included members of the Central Robbery Unit, CID and K9 Division.
