UNC chairman Jack Warner says he has not yet received a reply from the President regarding his call for the removal of Integrity Commission chairman Dr Eric St Cyr. Warner wrote the President last week seeking St Cyr's removal after he made a personal statement in reply to a media query, regarding the Prime Minister's occupancy of a Tunapuna house soon after she assumed office last. St Cyr has said he could recuse himself from the issue if it had to be investigated.
Nor has PNM Senator Fitzgerald Hinds received a reply from the Integrity Commission regarding his request for probe of the Prime Minister's stay at the Tunapuna house. This was confirmed yesterday. Hinds sent a letter last week to the commission seeking probe of alleged misconduct regarding the Prime Minister's stay at the house soon after she assumed office last year. Meanwhile, Attorney General Anand Ramlogan is expected to receive a report by tomorrow from a legal team which was mandated to investigate the award of a $40 million NP contract, bidders for which include the owner of the Tunapuna house where the Prime Minister stayed.
