Farmers from various sectors will be protesting outside the Red House during today's Lower House sitting, an action relating to outstanding issues from last month's destruction of their crops. Shiraz Khan of the T&T Goat and Sheep Farmers' Association said Central and D'Abadie farmers have not been either compensated or relocated following destruction of their crops last month by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC). A land use policy, which Government last month promised to take to Cabinet in three weeks, remains unfulfilled as well, Khan said. Farmers will congregate at Woodford Square opposite the Red House at 2 pm today, Khan said.
