Chaguanas West MP Jack Warner was well received wherever his Indian Arrival Day motorcade took him throughout his constituency yesterday. The event got rolling after 8 am with a short interfaith service and greetings by Chaguanas mayor Orlando Nagessar and Warner. The Chaguanas West MP then distributed bags to children at various stops. The bags contained a colouring books on Indian Arrival Day and snacks. Warner was mobbed by crowds in Caroni, La Paille Village, Munroe Road, Pepper Sauce Village, Pierre Road and at Jubilee Ground, Felicity, where the event culminated. Some of Warner's constituents at Warrenville, Cunupia, even went as far as referring to him as the "next Sai Baba" or holy man, and expressed their support for their MP in whatever road he decides to travel.
Warner was joined by Minister of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education Fazal Karim, who boarded a pick-up Warner was riding at Munroe Road. Karim assisted Warner to distribute some of the bags at Endeavour. Warner was also greeted by Rudy Indarsingh, the Couva South MP, when the motorcade passed along the Southern Main Road, Caroni. Not wanting to be left out of the limelight, Nagessar jumped out of his vehicle and into the pick–up and stood next to Karim behind Warner on the tray of the pick-up. Karim alighted at Pierre Road to attend a funeral, and Nagessar continued to Felicity where he and Warner addressed a small gathering at the Jubilee Ground.
