A Siparia man, who was sus­pect­ed in the kid­nap­ping of a po­lice of­fi­cer's son, was shot dead in Fyz­abad on Sun­day night. Po­lice said Aleem Ho­sein, 24, of Coo­ra Road, Siparia was seat­ed in the tray of a parked van at the side of Gow­ers Road, Fyz­abad. In­ves­ti­ga­tors said around 10.30 pm, four men dressed in dark coloured cloth­ing ap­proached Ho­sein who ran in­to a near­by yard.

The men chased him and fired sev­er­al shots at him. Res­i­dents called the po­lice who lat­er found his body with mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds on the up­per body. He was tak­en to the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he died. Po­lice claimed Ho­sein was well known for a se­ries of crimes, which in­clud­ed kid­nap­ping. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing.
