Lance Cor­po­ral Bevon Tay­lor, a mem­ber of the First In­fantry Bat­tal­ion, of the Trinidad and To­ba­go Reg­i­ment, who died last Sun­day, will be laid to rest with full mil­i­tary rites to­mor­row. The 37-year-old sol­dier, of Gaskin Bay Road, Crown Point, To­ba­go, drowned while swim­ming with friends at the Ny­lon Pool, Pi­geon Point. The fu­ner­al ser­vice will take place at the De­liv­er­ance Taber­na­cle, Cal­vary Road, Bon Ac­cord, To­ba­go, from 2 pm.

Af­ter the ser­vice the body will be placed on a gun car­riage and car­ried in a mil­i­tary pro­ces­sion to the Buc­coo pub­lic ceme­tery, Buc­coo, for in­tern­ment. Ac­cord­ing to a re­lease from the Trinidad and To­ba­go Reg­i­ment, Lance Cor­po­ral Tay­lor en­list­ed on Sep­tem­ber 29, 1999. He com­plet­ed ba­sic train­ing at Teteron Bar­racks and was post­ed to Al­pha Com­pa­ny, of the First In­fantry Bat­tal­ion, based at Camp Og­den, Long Cir­cu­lar Road, St James. He leaves to mourn his wife, Car­la, and daugh­ter, Bless­ing.
