It was the vision of Aubrey Adams to make the "West the best" when, many years ago, he instigated a tree-planting exercise along both sides of the Diego Martin Highway. Today these magnificent trees are endangered. Some of these once beautiful trees between "the big tree" at Four Roads and Sierra Leon Road heading west are being massacred. Why this butchering of so many of thesetrees?
Please, whoever is responsible for the maintenance of the verges along the highway, which I imagine includes the trees, put a stop to this indiscriminate chopping of these trees that are doing no harm to anyone as they stand far enough away from the edge of the highway not to cause any inconvenience to motorists or pedestrians. Please save those trees that have not yet been attacked before it is too late.
