A 21-year-old Belmont man is to appear before a Port-of-Spain magistrate today following his arrest by police with three stolen cars.At around 4 pm yesterday officers of the North-Eastern Division Task Force (NEDTF), acting on a tip-off, recovered the cars outside a house on Belle Eau Road, Belmont.Police later discovered that one of the cars, a Nissan Almera was stolen from its owner at gun point only a few hours earlier in St James.The man was caught by police attempting to burn documents that came from the recently stolen car. Police believe that the house was being used by a group of car thieves and are currently searching for two other suspects. The exercise was conducted by Sgt Roger Alexander, Cpl Sunil Bharath and PCs Lezama and Mahabir. (DA)
