Chaguanas West MP Jack Warner told pupils at the top performing primary school in the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) they should always keep the bar of excellence high. Warner said yesterday he was the proudest MP. He received a hearty round of applause as he was introduced to staff, pupils, eager parents and other school officials at the Chaguanas Government Primary School.
He said: "I have been very proud of this school but this morning I am the proudest MP indeed. "I am going to Cabinet this morning (yesterday) with my colleague Dr Tim Gopeesingh and I will be all smiles and I will challenge all of them to be in a happier mood than I am in today and this is because of what you have achieved." Warner said their successes were based on hard work and not luck. He promised to reward the successful pupils.
Warner said: "You must at all times keep the bar of exellence very high. "One thing you can be assured, your Member of Parliament will always be behind you. "We shall work together because what you have achieved today is based on the collective efforts of all of you and all the staff members."
