Homi­cide of­fi­cers have ar­rest­ed a man in con­nec­tion with the mur­der of a Ch­agua­nas woman who was dis­cov­ered in a pool of blood at her home on Fri­day night.Po­lice said Gail St Bryce of Ra­j­paul Street, En­ter­prise Vil­lage was dis­cov­ered by her hus­band around 10.30 pm. The man told in­ves­ti­ga­tors that he had just en­tered the house and when he ap­proached the kitchen, found St Bryce's blood­ied body ly­ing mo­tion­less on the floor.

Up­on fur­ther in­ves­ti­ga­tion, he ob­served that her throat had been slit. The man con­tact­ed the Ch­agua­nas po­lice sta­tion who re­spond­ed short­ly af­ter. The Dis­trict Med­ical Of­fi­cer ex­am­ined the body and or­dered its re­moval. An au­top­sy is ex­pect­ed to be done at the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre on Mon­day. South­ern Di­vi­sion Homi­cide and Ch­agua­nas CID con­duct­ed en­quiries and have de­tained a close rel­a­tive for ques­tion­ing. No weapons were re­cov­ered as in­ves­ti­ga­tions con­tin­ue.
