Hard­ware deal­er He­mant Bridglals­ingh, has been trans­ferred to the In­ten­sive Care Unit of the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, two days af­ter he was shot in the back by un­known as­sailants. Po­lice sources said Bridglals­ingh, 45, was trans­ferred out of Ward 7 and tak­en to the ICU where he re­mains ward­ed un­der po­lice guard.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said Bridglals­ingh was un­able to recog­nise the gun­man who fired at him at point blank range as he was open­ing the front gates of his Chi­nese Vil­lage, La Brea home, around 10 pm on Sun­day. Se­nior po­lice sources said they have be­gun in­ter­view­ing sus­pects but there is no con­crete ev­i­dence as yet to lay charges. A few months be­fore the shoot­ing, Bridglals­ingh re­port­ed that he had re­ceived death threats. Po­lice are now ask­ing that ny­one with in­for­ma­tion can con­tact Crime Stop­pers at 800-TIPS.
