Res­i­dents of Cunu­pia should soon get an ease from floods, says coun­cil­lor of the area Renu­ka Kan­gal.

Kan­gal, who toured Dyette Trace yes­ter­day to in­spect work in that area, said con­trac­tors were lay­ing down sev­er­al drains in the area to al­le­vi­ate flood­ing from heavy rains. She ap­pealed to res­i­dents to play their part by en­sur­ing that wa­ter­cours­es re­mained clear. Kan­gal said in­di­vid­u­als who threw garbage in­to drains and wa­ter­cours­es con­tributed to the flood­ing prob­lem.
