An Unemployment Relief Programme (URP) worker who denied burning his common-law wife with hot water has reappeared in the San Fernando Magistrates' Court.Noel Prechier, who is out on $5,000 bail, pleaded not guilty to committing assault occasioning actual bodily harm against Christine Sylvester.It is alleged that on August 5, 2008 he had an argument with his then common-law wife over food at their home at Bayshore, Marabella.It is further alleged that he threw hot water on her, burning her on her chest. She spent 11 days at the San Fernando General Hospital.Yesterday, he reappeared in the Fourth Court before Magistrate Alicia Chankar who adjourned the matter to August 22. (SW)
