Praise City International Young Adults (PCIYA), under the leadership of Zahir Mohammed, continues to design programmes for teens and young adults to become more involved in their communities and better prepare themselves to deal with the challenges in the future. One such empowerment programme was a protocol workshop, held at the Praise City auditorium, Caroni Savannah Road, Chaguanas.
The workshop was geared towards educating teens and young adults on personal and business etiquette to prepare them for leadership positions at work and in the community and to help them develop real life skills. Facilitator of the programme, Pastor Elisabeth Stewart, director of Praise City International, Women of Power, who is certified in corporate etiquette and international protocol (Protocol School of Washington), lectured on the topic titled, How to Host an Official Function.
This training exercise covered, invitations, how to receive-admission and reception, introduction, seating, placing of the flag, how to outline programme, how to say thank you and gift giving. On Saturday, PCIYA will host a youth conference titled - Preparing the Platform: The Nurturing Hand to Ascension. The seminar will deal with the parent/child relationship as it relates to the spiritual growth of young adults in society.
