"I know that we have suffered as a people for far too long. But now this Government has come in, the People's Partnership a new direction has been taken to develop a new and sustainable economy," Ramadhar said.Ramadhar also commented on the Prime Minister's decision to split the URP into three ministries saying that it showed the thrust made by the Government in terms of agriculture. He said the shortage of labour in agriculture has always been an issue in this country but with the new outline for the programme this problem will be solved.
