A Clax­ton Bay man's left hand was com­plete­ly sev­ered dur­ing an al­ter­ca­tion with a male rel­a­tive at his home.Po­lice said Al­lan Koat, a 37-year-old ma­son, of Sookoo Trace, Clax­ton Bay, was at home when he got in­to a heat­ed ar­gu­ment with a rel­a­tive at around 8.30 pm.The 34-year old rel­a­tive went to his apart­ment down­stairs the house and re­turned with a cut­lass. Koat was dealt two chops which sev­ered his left hand.The rel­a­tive fled the scene as Koat was tak­en San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he un­der­went emer­gency treat­ment. He is re­port­ed to be in sta­ble con­di­tion. St Mar­garet's po­lice have launched a search for the sus­pect.
