As trade unions gear up for a national day of strike, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says she is eagerly awaiting today's meeting with them to discuss Government's five per cent wage cap.Speaking to reporters after the opening of an electronic birth registration system at the Penal/Debe Regional Corporation yesterday afternoon, Persad-Bissessar said trade union leaders were all patriotic citizens who had the country's interest at heart.She said: "I look forward to the meeting with them. I am optimistic because the workers are the stakeholders of this country and I look forward to interesting discussions.She denied reports her former adviser Sasha Mohammed was offered a diplomatic post to London.Persad-Bissessar said: "I am not aware of that and any diplomatic post that is offered has to come through the Prime Minister and no such offer has been made."
