Johnson, Eccles and Duncan died after being shot by police in Barrackpore on July 27.Police said they received reports that a suspect wanted for a double murder at Circular Road, San Fernando, was heading to Barrackpore in a white Nissan B-15.The officers said they were shot at when they tried to intercept the vehicle and returned fire. When they checked the vehicle they discovered the three occupants had been killed. However, relatives of the three and residents of Moruga claimed the police reports were untrue and staged six days of protest action over the incident.
