Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard has called for additional forensic testing to be carried out before charges are laid against a police officer accused of rape.The officer, who has eight years' service, was taken into custody on August 4, after teenage twin sisters accused him of rape.He has since been released pending investigations. The officer is now on vacation leave. According to reports, the officer visited the girls' home and said he was taking one of them to the San Fernando Police Station for counselling.The girl, however, claimed she was taken to the San Fernando Hill where the officer raped her.The other sister gave a statement in which she claimed that after her sister returned home with the officer, she was taken to the San Fernando Hill where she, too, was raped.The girls told a relative about the incident and the matter was reported to the San Fernando Police Station.
