Couva South MP Rudranath Indarsingh says constituents are satisfied with the level of police patrols in Couva and environs during the state of emergency. He said so while speaking with members of the media during the launch of the Venture Credit Union 5k Road Race on Wednesday at Venture's head office, Main Road, Couva.
Indarsingh said he spent the day on the ground getting feedback from several communities in his constituency and it had been positive. He said he received reports that streets in Couva were cleared by evening time even though the area was not a crime hot spot. He said Government had put in place the necessary manpower and intelligence to deal with any overflow of criminal elements coming into the area to create havoc.
