Cou­va South MP Rudranath In­dars­ingh says con­stituents are sat­is­fied with the lev­el of po­lice pa­trols in Cou­va and en­vi­rons dur­ing the state of emer­gency. He said so while speak­ing with mem­bers of the me­dia dur­ing the launch of the Ven­ture Cred­it Union 5k Road Race on Wednes­day at Ven­ture's head of­fice, Main Road, Cou­va.

In­dars­ingh said he spent the day on the ground get­ting feed­back from sev­er­al com­mu­ni­ties in his con­stituen­cy and it had been pos­i­tive. He said he re­ceived re­ports that streets in Cou­va were cleared by evening time even though the area was not a crime hot spot. He said Gov­ern­ment had put in place the nec­es­sary man­pow­er and in­tel­li­gence to deal with any over­flow of crim­i­nal el­e­ments com­ing in­to the area to cre­ate hav­oc.
